WHAT

Peter Love, Chief Energy Conservation Officer of Ontario, will present a certificate to the Town of Newmarket and Rodeo Fine Homes in recognition of their unique partnership in sustainable building.

The presentation will be followed by a sneak peek of one of Newmarket’s EcoLogic homes, which is more than 80 per cent complete. Environmental builders from Michigan and representatives from Green Built Michigan will be touring the site as part of a trade mission hosted by CMHC to share best practices in environmentally sustainable design. This tour will showcase Newmarket’s EcoLogic’s leading-edge, eco-friendly amenities, and explain how they reduce the carbon footprint of each house.

WHERE:

Quaker Trail (located directly behind the Magna Centre, 800 Mulock Drive), Newmarket, Ontario (map attached). Parking will be available on Nellie Little Crescent and at the Magna Centre. A shuttle bus will also be available. It will leave the Town of Newmarket Municipal offices (395 Mulock Drive) at 2 p.m., with a pickup at the Magna Centre at 2:15 p.m.
