Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

Under the direction of Robert Shelton, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the CAO's Office is responsible for all daily, administrative and operations at the Town of Newmarket. The Corporate Communications, Human Resources and the Strategic Initiatives departments operate directly under the CAO's Office.

Commissions

The Commission structure signifies efforts to improve the decision making process, maximize organization efficiency, effectiveness and customer service under the following Commissions:

Corporate & Financial Services - Robert Dixon, Commissioner, Corporate & Financial Services provides leadership to the following departments: Financial Services, Legislative Services, Procurement Services, Information Technology, and Customer Services.

Community Services - Robert Prentice, Commissioner, Community Services provides leadership to the following departments: Engineering Services, Recreation & Culture Services, and Public Works Services.  

Legal & Development Services - Bob Dixon, Acting Commissioner, Legal & Development Services provides leadership to the following departments: Economic Development, Legal Services, Planning & Building Services.
