Marriage Licence Application

How to obtain a marriage licence:

A licence to marry may be obtained from the issuer of Marriage Licences in the Customer Service Centre, 395 Mulock Drive, Newmarket, Ontario, 905-895-5193.

**NOTE** Please review marriage application requirements (identification, signatures, documents needed, etc) in the link below so that you are fully prepared when you arrive to obtain your license. The absence of any required items will result in your licence not being issued at that time.

Application: Marriage Licence Application Form

Issuing Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
(May to August the office closes at 4:00 pm on Fridays)

Licence Fee: $125.00 , payable by cash, Interac, Visa, MasterCard or Amex.

Please allow 30 minutes for the issuance of your marriage licence.

Note: If you are unable to understand or read English, you must bring your own translator to interpret the information on the licence/application form.
