Accessory Dwelling Unit Registration Check List

Have you included the following?

A. New units (must be constructed under the building permit process and the application submitted after the work has been completed):

• Completed and signed application form
• A sketch of parking area with dimensions
• Registration fee of $110.00

B. Unregistered existing units:

• Completed and signed application form
• A sketch of parking area with dimensions
• A letter from the Electrical Safety Authority (dated within 6 months of submitting the application) indicating compliance with safety requirements
• A letter from Central York Fire Services (dated within 6 months of submitting the application) indicating compliance with the Fire Code
• Registration fee of $110.00

C. Units previously registered under 1998-109 and 2003-106:

• Completed and signed application form
• Letter from Central York Fire Services (dated within 6 months of submitting the application) indicating compliance with the Fire Code
• A letter from the Electrical Safety Authority (dated within 6 months of submitting the application) indicating compliance with safety requirements
• Registration fee of $110.00

Payments can be made by cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or cheque.
Payment is non-refundable.

NOTE: Building permit fees or any other agency inspection fees are not included in the above and are payable by the applicant as required.
