Festival of Lights

Dear Friend,

The annual Festival of Lights is entering its tenth year. It is an exciting, family- focused event consisting of eye-catching light displays located along the pathway at Fairy Lake Park. Eight years ago, we added the Tim Hortons Polar Express Train to transport people through the Park. In 2005, we added the huge 'castle' display as a welcoming point to the Festival. 2008 saw the addition of the new Tim Hortons Express. What will be new this year?

Newmarket Festival of Lights Founding Volunteer

Dear Business Owner/Service Club member,

Beautiful Fairy Lake Park is home to the Festival of Lights. The Festival occurs this year from December 10^th to December 31^st. Opening ceremonies will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 10^th. Mayor Van Bynen will 'flip the switch' and turn on all of the light displays. Enjoy a free hot chocolate, supplied by Tim Hortons, and enjoy a train ride on the Tim Hortons Express. The lights will be on every night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

We invite you to become a partner in this de'light'ful event. During the twenty-two days of the Festival, over 12,000 people walk or ride through the Park to enjoy the lights during the festive season.
