Members of the public are invited to attend all regular Council, Committee of the Whole and Joint Council Committee-Central York Fire Services meetings.

ADDRESSING COUNCIL
If you wish to address Council, please contact the Clerk's Office in writing with submissions and background information by noon the Wednesday prior to the meeting date. If you wish to address Committee of the Whole, please contact the Clerk's Office in writing with submissions and background information (for items not on the agenda) by noon 12 days prior to the meeting date. TELEVISED MEETINGS
Monday night Council meetings broadcast on Newmarket Television (Rogers 10). Members of the public are welcome to comment on matters of municipal business during an informal open forum from 6:45 to 7 p.m. (prior to council meeting).

INVESTIGATION OF CLOSED MEETINGS
Council appointed Local Authority Services as the investigator for any requests for investigation regarding Closed Meetings of Council and Council Committees and Boards pursuant to Section 239.1 of the Municipal Act. Council authorized a fee of $100.00 to be charged to a person requesting such an investigation. For further information on the investigation of the Closed Meeting process, please contact the Clerk's Department at 905-953-5300 Ext. 2200 or clerks@newmarket.ca.

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES AND STAFF
Committee of the Whole Minutes are posted on the web site regularly.

The Town of Newmarket has hearing assistive devices for members of the public who may be hearing impaired. The devices are available for use during Committee of the Whole or Council meetings held in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall. Please ask a Clerk's staff member if you'd like to borrow one.
