NEWMARKET, Ontario, November 7, 2007 - The Town of Newmarket, Rodeo Fine Homes and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation invite you to celebrate the groundbreaking of
Canadas greenest residential community.
Representatives from various levels of government will attend a ceremony in Newmarket, Ontario. The 34-unit development by Rodeo Fine Homes is the first of its kind in Canada and one of only a few developments in North America to be built entirely to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum specifications.

Newmarkets EcoLogic subdivision will be the first all LEED platinum residential development in Canada. These leading-edge and nationally-significant homes will achieve and exceed specific environmental targets including a 25 per cent reduction in household water draws and a 60 per cent reduction in water discharge flows, solid waste, greenhouse gas production and energy consumption compared to conventional homes.
