The Town of Newmarket challenges other municipalities, business and residents to take the ‘Be energy aware’ challenge. Get active - by being energy aware, you can protect the environment and save money!

How is the Town of Newmarket energy aware?

The Town of Newmarket believes in being energy aware. That's why we've partnered with Honeywell Canada to audit and retrofit Town facilities. These audits will help the Town lower greenhouse gas emissions and utility costs. The audit will target heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and lighting in the following facilities: Ray Twinney Complex, Newmarket Municipal Offices, Gorham and McCaffery Street fire halls, Newmarket Youth & Recreation Centre and Kinsmen Sk8Park and the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place.
