Background The Strategic and Official Plan review
The Town of Newmarket is in the process of shaping Newmarket's future through Plan-it Newmarket, an initiative that encompasses both the Strategic Plan and Official Plan/Zoning By-law review processes. The Strategic Plan portion of Plan-it Newmarket has culminated in Bringing Newmarket's Vision into Focus: the Town's new Corporate Strategic Plan. More... The Official Plan is a strategic policy 'map' for the built form of Newmarket and its effect on elements of living, working and playing in the Town. The Zoning By-law implements the strategies and will respond to any changes in the strategic documents. The Official Plan/Zoning By-law portion of Plan-it Newmarket is well underway.
