Bob has always been a strong community leader. Involved in many local charities but mostly recognized by his involvement in Traffic Safety and being a strong advocate for our communities. Bob and his family have been members of the Newmarket Historical Society to better appreciate our rich history.
For the last 5 years Bob Kwapis focused on the Telecommunications industry in Canada and in North America as an independent Consultant. His expertise helped companies create new revenues and explore new markets. He also helped companies find efficiencies through implementation of new technologies such as cloud computing, outsourcing, or through management realignment. Bob is an expert at helping companies drive smart revenues through building, coaching and leading management teams.
Bob has been a VP of sales and marketing at TELUS Communications for over 11 years. He was a founding member for TELUS' expansion into Ontario. As an AVP, he later took on the responsibilities to merge and to lead Canada wide Enterprise Sales groups as one national sales teams as well as various M&A initiatives. He managed P&L of almost $700 mil. His last position at TELUS was as a VP in the wholesale division working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Telecom companies across Canada.
Prior to joining TELUS, Bob had a successful career at Bell Canada and Bell Nexxia. He held various senior sales and management positions focusing on revenue growth. His ability of becoming a trusted advisor to his customers helped solve multiple business issues by implementation of new technologies.
Bob holds various certificates from Ivey School of Business, Rotman School of Business, Ryerson University and Humber College of Technology. Bob sits on various advisory Boards and Steering Committees in the IT and Telecom industry. He is a recipient of many achievement and recognition awards.
