Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2010-40

​​​​​​​​​​The parent Zoning By-law for the Town of Newmarket is By-law Number 2010-40 which governs land uses within the Town's municipal boundaries. The by-law divides the municipality into different land use zones, with detailed maps. The map symbol (e.g., R1-D), on the zoning map, is used to indicate the permitted uses and standards for a specific property. On occasion, special exceptions or restrictions to a property may apply (i.e. R1-D-119)

Co​mprehensive Zoning By-Law ​

The Town of Newmarket's Council adopted the Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw 2010-40​​​ on June 1, 2010. The By-law is divided into two parts: the text of the by-law and the schedules. The Schedules represent the maps which depict which zones apply to specific properties. The Map Index shows how the Town is divided into 21 zoning maps. Each map is available in PDF below.
